Job Function: 1. Ability to set up and maintains Quality Operating Systems in start up manufacturing WFOE (US) for automotive customer compliance 2. Must be familiar with ISO 9000 / 2000 and be able to upgrade to TS16949 as well as customer specific quality system requirements 3. Provides quality engineering support for in-process and final acceptance to established engineering and customer requirements. 4. Reviews and approves manufacturing engineering work instructions for adequate "point of inspection" operations. 5. Works closely with Production to develop, maintain and integrate quality systems throughout manufacturing adhering to established quality policies. 6. Monitors all production reports to ensure achievement of financial, safety, quality, and on-time delivery goals. 7. Oversees all facets of gage control including setting, storage, calibration, and repair. 8. Works directly with customers to address and resolve any quality issues and concerns as they arise. 9. Performs supplier pre-audits and ensures ongoing quality adherence 10. Provides Chinese/English language translation for U.S. staff.
Qualifications:
3 –5 years of quality management experience in auto industry; direct or indirect manufacturing purchasing and engineering experience desirable § Demonstrated ability to work in start-up business environment § Previous experience working with suppliers; preferably with and understanding of plastic injection molding, cold heading, stamping, screw machine and other metal finishing processes § Working knowledge of TS16949, QS 9000, ISO 14001 policies and procedures which include APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, Statistical Methods (SPC) etc. Six Sigma experience preferred § High level of analytical ability to assess and resolve complex, technical problems . § High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills (bi-lingual required).
Bachelor degree with a major in engineering or equivalent work experience § Travel requirement and a demonstrated ability to work independently § Instructor/facilitator Experience; Must speak English with excellent verbal and written skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
